The 1806 Inn is the closest and most convenient lodging to the Mount Sunapee Ski Resort and the beautiful Sunapee State Beach - right off of the traffic circle! Come down from a day of skiing or riding and be right here at the door of our comfortably appointed and welcoming inn. Mt. Sunapee Resort offers alpine skiing, snowmobile trails, snowshoeing and snowboarding for winter guests, and gorgeous panoramic views when the snows are gone for hikers and intrepid adventurers. Ride up the ski lift in the summer and see the whole of Lake Sunapee on a clear day and the mountains of Vermont off in the distance.
The 1806 Inn is within
walking distance to local eateries, sports and sports apparel shops, a gourmet food and wine store in addition to being right around the corner from a world class spa facility.
In the summer, take a stroll out our front door and around the gorgeous wild flower strewn meadow encompassed by the Sunapee traffic circle and be at the shores of the Scenic Lake Sunapee State Beach.
The fall foliage is spectacular! Spring time offers biking, hiking, and walking trails. Mount Sunapee and Lake Sunapee offer a wide variety of activities and attractions for visitors to enjoy all year round.

Before opening The 1806 Inn, the Carruths owned and operated a successful bookstore for over seven years. With their love for books, they decided to carry the book theme into their Inn. Each of the five guest rooms is named for a prominent New England author. The new owners have extensively renovated the building and gardens.
